This October, we celebrate more than a milestone – we celebrate you!

For 70 years, every smile served, every challenge overcome, and every community touched has shaped the McDonald’s story. This week, we’re honoring that legacy together with System-wide celebrations from September 29 through October 3, leading up to Founder’s Day on Sunday, October 5.

Here’s how you can join in:

  • Say “Thanks” to a team member, colleague, or partner who inspires you.
  • Join the conversation on social media using #WeMakeMcDonalds to help Spread the Word.
    • Create your own post on LinkedIn: Download assets here or use your own photo – then share what Founder’s Day means to you in the caption. We included a few thought-starters below but make it your own to boost engagement.
    • Engage with leadership posts: Like, comment and reshare LinkedIn posts from Chris K.Tiffanie, and Jill.
  • Check out our external Newsroom post McDonald's Founder’s Day: 70 Years of Memories & Milestones

Honoring our past. Celebrating our people. Shaping our future.

Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of visiting restaurants around the world and leaving inspired. From Hyderabad to Chicago, from London to Atlanta, we saw Ray’s vision alive in the way you care for guest, for each other, and for your communities.

Founders Day Jill and Tiffanies quote

Since Ray Kroc opened the doors to his first franchised McDonald’s restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, he built a belief: when you put people first, everything else follows. That belief became the foundation of our System, and today, it lives on in every Crew Member, Franchisee, Supplier, and Employee across the globe.

Ray Kroc once said, “None of us is as good as all of us.” Thank you for setting the standard – every day, in every restaurant, in every role.

With pride and gratitude,

Tiffanie Boyd
