Welcoming Luis Quintiliano as National Field President and Recognizing New Roles for Tom Dillon and Loek Beckers
February 03, 2026
The following message was sent to the McDonald's USA System from Joe Erlinger and Ian Borden.
McDonald’s USA,
Our relentless focus on fostering and developing talent has paid dividends for the System while expanding opportunities for our people. This legacy of building a world-class talent pipeline continues today as we pass the torch from one of our most storied executives to an energizing, innovative leader who will take the U.S. Field to the next level. We are also strengthening and evolving our world-class Finance leadership through a leadership transition between Tom Dillon and Loek Beckers.
Last week, we shared that Myra Doria will be retiring in June. I’m pleased to share that Luis Quintiliano, Managing Director of Spain, will be promoted to U.S. National Field President. Luis has had an outstanding tenure in Spain, sharpening the customer experience, deepening partnerships with franchisees, and delivering strong, consistent results through a restaurant-first mindset. We’re excited for him to build on those results and return to McDonald’s USA.
In addition, Finance leaders Tom Dillon and Loek Beckers will rotate into each other’s current roles to broaden their experience and bring their unique expertise to new leadership roles. As of March 1, Tom will become Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance, and Loek will become Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, McDonald’s USA.
Luis began his career with McDonald’s in 2018 as Field Vice President for the Dallas Field Office after spending six months in the Accelerated Operations Program. Luis quickly built a culture of customer centricity and operational excellence, resulting in positive guest count growth amid industry-wide declines.
In 2020, Luis was promoted to Managing Director of Spain, where he led multiple years of accelerated, sustainable growth. He took leadership at the height of the pandemic and skillfully navigated the business back to pre-pandemic revenue levels and then record results. Under Luis’ leadership, McDonald’s Spain has delivered strong, consistent growth, reinforcing the brand’s market position and strengthening the country’s long-term contribution to the global System. His strategic direction has elevated the competitiveness of the business and driven sustained performance across core metrics, including operations, customer satisfaction, sales, and restaurant development.
Over the last five years, he consistently demonstrated steady leadership amidst volatility, navigating sharp inflation, aggressive competitor expansion, and shifting consumer expectations. His record of strong, sustainable growth paired with his people-first approach makes him the right leader to position the U.S. Field for the years ahead, and we are confident in Luis’ ability to build on the strong foundation established by Myra and the unified National Field Model she built.
We are also excited to welcome Tom Dillon and Loek Beckers into their new roles!
During his time as U.S. Chief Financial Officer, Tom played a crucial role in leading the System through challenging conditions, keenly protecting both top and bottom lines while consistently seeking out solutions and strategies to grow all three legs of the stool. His close collaboration with the U.S. SLT and Owner/Operators through the NFLA Economics Team has been instrumental in guiding sustainable growth for the U.S. Business and developing long-term strategies and financial policies that benefit and protect the future of our System.
A talent and culture builder, Tom has championed developing and exporting finance talent across the organization, while empowering his teams to challenge workload, streamline processes, and leverage automation. He’s gained deep respect and trust from partners across the three-legged stool who’ve had a chance to work with him, including his own U.S. Finance Team, where he’s known to dedicate his time and experience as a mentor and coach. Tom has also been a proud executive sponsor of the BGLDN network since 2023.
Prior to his current position, Tom was based in London as VP and CFO for the IOM Business Unit, leading Finance teams across 12 markets and partnering with business leaders across the segment to drive growth. He also held a range of prior Finance positions across the System, including Senior Director of Global Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Controller for McDonald’s Australia, and Director of Finance for the former Asia, Pacific and Middle East, and Africa area.
As Tom transitions into his new role, Loek Beckers will join the U.S. Business and U.S. SLT. He started at McDonald’s in April 2024 as SVP, Corporate Finance, and oversees the Corporate Controller Group (CCG), Financial Planning & Analysis, and Global Tax, Treasury & Insurance Teams. Over the past two years, he has played a critical role in strengthening collaboration across our Corporate functions and Global Finance, streamlining key financial and operational processes, and elevating the role Corporate Finance plays as a strategic advisor in driving our global growth initiatives.
Loek came to McDonald’s from General Motors where he held segment CFO roles for GM’s International operations and GM’s China Joint Venture operations, as well as several Corporate Finance roles, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the business at the market, segment, and global levels. He drove top and bottom-line growth and transformation progress across the complex GM ecosystem, including GM’s international franchised dealership network, extensive supplier base, and distributor and joint venture operations. His deep experience managing a complex financial and stakeholder ecosystem positions Loek for success in our franchising model.
Loek’s ability to deliver successful strategic and tactical results, eye for process and efficiency improvements, and a leadership style rooted in collaboration and empowerment make him a great fit to serve as U.S. CFO.
It is an exciting time for the System as we continue to build upon a legacy of achievements and position the brand for our next chapter. Our strength is our people, and we have the right team in place to drive our future growth. Please join us in congratulating Myra on her incredible tenure once more, wishing Tom the best in his new role, and welcoming Luis and Loek to McDonald’s USA.
