Celebrating with a socially distant high school graduation ceremony

It’s nearly that time – back to school! For a lot of students, school is going to look much different this year, but the milestones that come along with it are definitely still worth celebrating. That’s our belief at my franchisee organization, The Hogan Company, and I know it's shared by McDonald’s franchisees like me around the world.

A few weeks ago, The Hogan Company had the honor of hosting a (socially distant!) graduation ceremony for our very own Amanda P., who earned her High School Diploma through Archways to Opportunity. On behalf of everyone at The Hogan Company, we couldn’t be more proud of her.

Amanda began her career with McDonald's as a crew member when she was 17 years young. She worked in our Norwell, Massachusetts restaurant for many years before she was hired as a Shift Manager in our North Weymouth restaurant, where she's been for the past nine years. She’s worked her way up the ladder and currently leads the People Department in North Weymouth.

Fun fact: We have three generations from Amanda's family working in North Weymouth – her mom is a manager, and her daughter just joined our team as a Crew Member (it’s her first job!). I’m so proud of Amanda and the example she’s set for her children, and I’m grateful we could offer her this opportunity as a McDonald’s franchisee.

I can’t wait to see her continue to grow, within and outside of McDonald’s, and we’re lucky to have her talent at our restaurant.
