McFamily Acts to Support COVID-19 Relief in Global Markets

As the pandemic continues to evolve from country to country, McDonald’s remains committed to helping international COVID-19 relief efforts and prioritizing the health and safety of our people and the communities in which we operate.

McDonald’s Philippines purchased close to 100,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses and is giving it to all our crew and managers in  its company-owned restaurants.

As of May 24, RMHC Philippines raised 21.4 million pesos (nearly $450,000 USD), serving over 480,000 meals to front line workers and families in need, and extending a helping hand to many Filipinos during these challenging times.

McDonald’s India also announced its employee inoculation drive. The initiative will benefit more than 15,000 people employed across the corporate offices in Mumbai and Delhi, and full time and part time employees in restaurants nationwide.

In addition to these local efforts, McDonald’s Corporation has donated $100,000 USD to the International Coronavirus Outbreak fund of the Red Cross. These funds will go to the markets most affected by the recent surge in coronavirus infections.

In response to the latest wave, millions of Red Cross and Red Crescent workers around the world are providing services to support vaccination drives and COVID-19 clinics; distribute masks, gloves, shields, soaps and sanitizers; and provide essential oxygen-related supplies such as ventilators.

Join us and help people affected by the Coronavirus around the world. Your donation enables the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from this virus. Donate here.
