Dancing in the Drive Thru

Even if my drag career takes off, I’ll still work at McDonald’s. They can’t get rid of me that easily!
Do I look familiar? It may be because I’m famous.
I’m just kidding. Sort of.
I work as a Floor Manager at the restaurant in Morfa, Swansea, Wales. The recent lockdown and closure of our restaurant was difficult for me personally – there were so many people I missed seeing and places I missed visiting after work. When our restaurant finally opened after 10 weeks, I went to the Drive Thru waiting area knowing that people had been looking forward to their McDonald’s for a long time. I started doing a countdown to get them even more excited. That's when someone in line began to play music – as soon as I heard it, I said, “Go on – turn it up!” And they did!
I’ve been working as a drag queen for years, and I channeled all of my drag queen experience into my Drive Thru dance moves. People were recording me and sharing it online – next thing I know, people were coming to the Drive Thru saying, “You’re the dancing guy, we’ve seen you!” I was shocked – people were coming to our restaurant just to see me!
Since then, my dance routine has been shown on television shows around the world. It’s surreal. When my teammates try to speak to me now, I joke around and say “sorry, can’t talk, famous!” They love it.
Even if my drag career takes off, I’ll still work at McDonald’s. They can’t get rid of me that easily!
