Deliveroo and McDonald’s to Drive Delivery Growth with New Global Strategic Partnership

McDonald’s and Deliveroo have agreed to a new, long-term global strategic partnership, evolving their existing agreement to provide consumers and McDonald’s franchisees with the convenience and value of McDelivery® through the Deliveroo platform in markets across the world. McDonald’s and Deliveroo’s partnership will support the growth of the McDelivery business and advance both companies’ commitment to a seamless customer experience. This partnership will strengthen the companies’ relationship in existing markets and expand the availability of McDelivery through the Deliveroo platform to new markets.
Delivery is a significant component of McDonald’s Accelerating the Arches growth strategy to drive the business forward while providing a fast, easy experience for customers. Since the launch of McDelivery five years ago, McDonald’s delivery footprint has grown from 3,000 restaurants to more than 34,000 restaurants across 100 markets through partnerships with both local and global platforms.
Deliveroo is growing rapidly, operating in 11 markets and serving 8 million consumers from over 160,000 restaurant and grocery partners worldwide. This new partnership will increase choice and selection on the platform for Deliveroo consumers, drive new consumer acquisition and create more work for Deliveroo riders.
