McDonald’s and DoorDash Announce Long-Term Global Strategic Partnership to Drive Growth of McDelivery

McDonald’s and DoorDash have agreed to a new, long-term global strategic partnership, evolving their existing agreement and providing McDonald’s customers and franchisees with the convenience and value of McDelivery® in markets across the world. McDonald’s and DoorDash’s partnership will support growth to the McDelivery business and advance both companies’ commitment to innovation. As McDonald’s expands customers’ ability to order delivery directly through the McDonald’s app, DoorDash will be a preferred and trusted partner in fulfilling these orders in thousands of McDonald’s restaurants in the U.S. and globally.
Delivery is a significant component of McDonald’s Accelerating the Arches growth strategy to drive the business forward while providing a fast, easy experience for customers. Since the launch of McDelivery five years ago, McDonald’s delivery footprint has grown from 3,000 restaurants to more than 32,000 restaurants across 100 countries through partnerships with both local and global platforms.

McDonald’s and DoorDash first teamed up in 2019 and built on their partnership to expand McDelivery across over 13,000 restaurants in the U.S., Canada, and Australia. Today’s announcement takes the partnership one step further, allowing McDonald’s franchisees to reach even more customers around the globe and enabling customers to get their hot, delicious McDonald’s favorites delivered faster and more seamlessly than before.
