McDonald’s Franchisees Are Showing Appreciation for Their Local Healthcare Heroes

McDonald's Heroes

While healthcare workers from coast to coast are working tirelessly to keep the nation safe and cared for during these unprecedented times, many local Owner/Operators are finding ways to give back to these professionals who are leading the fight against COVID-19.

They’re bringing fuel directly to the front lines.
Ten McDonald’s restaurants in the Evansville, In. area joined together to provide breakfast for 800 healthcare workers at the St. Vincent Hospital. Restaurant employees were happy to wake up early to prepare a delicious breakfast and get hospital staff energized as they began another day of caring for their patients. In total, Owner/Operators Rick and Susan Mann, Chip and Katie Kenworthy, Paul Snider, Kelsey Hamlet and Michael Burrell have provided over 3,200 meals to local healthcare workers protecting the community amidst this crisis.

They’re staying open to ensure those who can’t stay home can keep going.
Like McDonald’s restaurants across the country, the McDonald’s in Greater Hudson Valley, N.Y is hoping to provide a sense of stability, consistency and normalcy for their customers. Owner/Operator Bryan Colley was touched by a handwritten note his restaurant received from a group of healthcare workers who recognized his crew for providing a dependable option for meals to professionals like traveling nurses. The note read, “Thank you for continuing to feed us essential personnel that are on the roads!”

They’re feeding our heroes at every time of the day.
Owner/Operator Jane Cravens and her team in Washington, Ga. wanted to support their close-knit community by donating to the nearby Wills Memorial Hospital. They coordinated a special delivery to treat the morning hospital staff with breakfast as they clocked in and then provided 10 Piece Chicken McNuggets for the night staff later in the day. Cravens shared, “Our team felt great to be a part of something good. We're all in this together!”

Owner/Operator Jason Rippon and his team at the McDonald’s restaurant in Lewisburg, Pa. delivered 100 fresh beef Quarter Pounders to the hardworking weekend staff at local Evangelical Hospital. And we continue to see incredible examples of our franchisees finding new ways to fuel their local heroes every single day.

As a #McFamily, we are grateful for the commitment and sacrifice of healthcare workers and to our many Owner/Operators honoring their work with warm, prepared meals.
