McDonald’s Editors | Worldwide
Parents have always looked to McDonald's to provide fun and delicious moments for their kids, but social distancing has caused us all to change our plans.
Luckily, we're finding ways to delight families all over the world with fun, at-home activities. Learn how we’re keeping our youngest customers in mind in different countries:
Digital Playtime
In Kazakhstan, App users can try on bananas for eyebrows and a carrot top hat – yes, you read that right – with exclusive games and content in their Happy Meal App.
DIY Cookies
In Italy, families can gather together to prepare their favorite McDonald’s cookies at home with a step-by-step DIY video. Delizioso!
One-stop Family Fun
In the UK, we built a digital Family Fun Hub for loads of activities to do together, including art projects, games, Happy Meal Readers ebooks and even a kit for hosting a McDonald’s birthday party at home.
Reading Together
Inspiring a passion for reading is so important and during the pandemic, we held virtual story hour with a few familiar faces. Author Cressida Cowell read her exclusive Happy Meal Readers book – The Treetop Twins Wilderness Adventure. And in Portugal, TV host Francisco Garcia read The Treetop Twins series on the World Day of Joy. Alegria!
Craft Projects
Is a box ever really just a box? In Singapore, we’re showing kids how to upcycle their Happy Meal boxes into a fun craft project and offering downloadable activity sheets to keep the creativity flowing.
