It really does put a smile on my face when you see how happy it makes people to receive McDonald's.

We help sponsor a local football team, so when we needed help distributing thousands of meals to people in need in our community it was obvious who we should turn to.

With restaurants closed across the U.K., I didn't want my McDonald's franchises to stop serving people who needed help in our  area. The restaurants have been donating eggs, milk, juice and lettuce to vulnerable members of the community with the help of Ardley United Football Club, whose youth team has been sponsored by the local McDonald's for several years.

Ian, the club chairman of Ardley United, distributed 2,000 english muffins around the villages in our area. He's a pillar of our community and we're both proud to be helping out any way we can.
