Our McFamily is here for our frontline workers who are all here for us.

McDonald’s is a brand that is supported by the people of the community.

Warm meals and feel good moments are the least we can do for our frontline workers.

Frontline hospital workers have been our heroes as the impact of the coronavirus continues to affect us. McDonald’s restaurants are supported by the community, so if we can offer some peace of mind, perhaps a warm meal, or a feel-good moment to let medical workers know their efforts are being recognized and appreciated, we’re going to do it. Here are just a few of the ways the McFamily here in Japan is showing our love for those who are caring for us all.

Frontline workers receive their thank you meals from grateful McFamily members, all wearing PPE

Our McFamily in Japan deliver thank you meals to frontline workers.

Around the world, many Ronald McDonald House Charities® programs have temporarily suspended the acceptance of new families to ensure the safety of current families and help stop the spread of the virus. However, many Ronald McDonald House® programs were able to shift their services to support hospital staff instead.

We also found an opportunity to support these hospital staff members as well as many of the hospitalized children they are caring for. A delivery of masks, food and Happy Meal toys and picture books was just one way to show that we are thinking about them.

And we find that nothing puts a smile on someone’s face like a Thank You letter, especially when that letter comes with a free Big Mac. So we sent out 40,000 messages of gratitude and support as a special thanks to medical institutions, each with a coupon for a free sandwich.

Thank you to everyone working in our hospitals and medical facilities for everything you do every day.
